Montego Bay, Jamaica: the best vacation destination

Affectionately known as the Second City, Montego Bay is the capital of St. James, one of fourteen parishes in the country. Birthplace of Sam Sharp, one of Jamaica’s national heroes, Montego Bay has a rich historical heritage that is reflected in its architecture, atmosphere and people. Home to the world’s biggest reggae show, Reggae Sumfest and one of the country’s two international airports, Sangster International Airport, Montego Bay is destined to be your perfect vacation spot.

Richly endowed with white sand beaches such as Sandals, Holiday Inn, Aqua Sol and The Ritz Carlton, Montego Bay offers the best avenue for relaxation when on the island on vacation or simply visiting on business. The ease and convenience of shopping in the artisan village and the variety of shopping centers makes it a pleasure to take home a souvenir of your visit to the beautiful land of plot and water.

The nightlife in the second city will leave even its locals speechless; with clubs like Margaritaville, The Brewery, and of course “Pier Pressure” at Pier One on Fridays, along with a delicious mix of other clubs that will have you screaming like you’re at a rock concert.

Hungry? Well why wait? The city is home to sumptuous and spicy Jamaican Chicken and Jamaican Pork that can be eaten at Scotchie’s, Jerky’s or The Pork Pit. Do you need fast food? “No problem” have it your way at Burger King with four locations across town and if your craving is just for fried chicken that will make you say “finger lickin’ good” then KFC is just what the doctor ordered with 2 locations in the city.

Do you need a good dinner? Yeah man! We also have that. Take the family or a group of friends to The Pelican or Nyam N Jam where there is a variety of food, both international and local, that will leave you satisfied and possibly lose you in the splendor of the island.
