TT tour tip: A fantastic ski tour behind the Nordkette | Tyrolean daily newspaper online

Innsbruck – on the one hand one of the main traffic routes in Europe, on the other wilderness. Yes, even for Tyroleans it is always surprising what contrasts there are north and south of the Nordkette. The aforementioned natural experience can be really savored on this small Karwendel crossing – and every ski tourer will be delighted. Prerequisite: Although not that many meters of altitude have to be mastered, in terms of skiing you have to be able to pass steep climbs (to the Mandlscharte) and steep descents (right at the beginning of the Hafelekarspitze). We made the crossing last Sunday, powdery fresh snow missed the icing on the cake for the company.
