A Mind-Blowing Kettlebell Workout – The Kettlebell And The 300 Bodyweight

The Ultimate ‘300’ Workout Facility: The Kettlebell And The 300 Bodyweight!

The original ‘300’ workout was designed by Mark Twight for the cast of the movie 300. Interestingly, the original 300 workout was not designed as a regular training routine for actors; it was an occasional “test” of physical fitness and mental toughness.

However, if you were to take a look at Mark Twight’s website, gymjones.com, you would see that the original 300 workout circulating on the internet it is representative of the training style the actors used to prepare for the film. Characteristic of this particular style of training would be full-body movements performed non-stop, circuit-style. And rhythm is the true definition of intensity.

The next workout I put together was inspired by the original 300 workout; use only bodyweight exercises and a kettlebell. Here it is:

  • 20 push ups
  • 20 kettlebell swings
  • 20 crunches
  • 20 kettlebell swings
  • 20 squats

Perform this circuit three times with as little rest as possible.

Now, it is very important to consider that this training is designed as a one time challenge; it should not be done as a regular routine. Also, be sure to use perfect form when doing each kettlebell exercise.
