When you buy new wall clocks, you can really exercise your imagination. Many people’s idea of a wall clock is a white face with black numbers. This is the type we see all too often in our workplaces and coffee shops. These are even popular in people’s homes, but I’m not exactly sure why. The watch has been around for a long time and has become so easy to manufacture (inexpensive) that it is available in every color, shape and design known to man.
Now, I’m not saying that everyone should go out and buy a bunch of wacky wall clocks because that would be so “cool” and “different.” There’s certainly a place for that, and a market to satisfy fringe demands, but you can also have plenty of style in the design you choose. In fact, many famous designers have thrown their hats in the ring when it comes to watch design. I think it’s really a shame that so many spend so much time and effort on the color of their rooms, the appliances, the furniture, the style schemes, etc. and then launch a $5 black and white wall clock from Target! There are millions of options, everyone, why let this integral piece go unnoticed?
As for the price, as I have already mentioned, wall clocks are very affordable. If you want to be very extravagant, then yes, you are going to pay more. But you’ll probably still get more than you paid for. This is always the benefit of buying from arenas where the product can be made very cheaply in foreign markets and shipped to you at a low price.
If you’d like to get a watch made in America, be my guest. There are many reputable providers. In fact, the United States has a long-standing reputation for great craftsmanship here. The same goes for Germany, England, Australia and all the other major European countries. Just expect to pay for that craft. I greatly honor such diligence and care for wall clocks. I think sometimes they are even a great investment if you buy a limited edition.
You can also buy a wall clock for your child’s bedroom. This is a great way to get them started thinking about time and numbers in general. They will be forced to understand the 60 divider because they will stare at it every time they are in your room. Here I would go with something colorful. It’s especially captivating for them if you get a watch with one of their favorite characters, like Thomas the Train or Dora the Explorer. I guarantee this will make them smarter. Not only that, but children’s wall clocks are usually very cheap. They are plastic and made to take a beating longer than their original counterparts.
The bottom line is that you have many options. Don’t buy a wall clock without giving at least some thought to the variety that exists.
