Sushi offered if your name is “Salmon”, the authorities have to intervene in the face of the many name changes

No it’s not a joke. Many Taiwanese wanted to change their last name to “Salmon”. This phenomenon occurs following the promotion of a restaurant, the “Akindo Sushiro”, which promised free sushi to those whose last name included the character “Salmon”. An ephemeral promotion which nevertheless convinced several dozen people.

Taiwanese have the right to change their last name three times. This change paying off, could put some in an embarrassment. Indeed, it would seem that an unlucky one, whose last name had already been changed twice by his mother, would have ended up with the name “Salmon” for the rest of his life …

A game worth the candle?
